Slightly different to how Bonnie's Allietare went because the fabrics were so fussy against each other (and quite blingy being the Japanese/Australian prints) that I added sashing - and then it popped. This year I started late and so far only a few blocks completed, again using different colours. I'm trying to finish a Quilts From the Heart II starry one for my daughter at the moment - nowhere near quilting yet but top almost done!

On the other hand I enjoy hand binding because I get to curl up underneath the quilts. I also enjoy hand piecing and quilting although it takes a lot longer but I'm getting an awful lot of practice with the sewing machines now!Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07759875955040163206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21964134.post-58266040135455882462017-01-22T17:24:17.752-05:002017-01-22T17:24:17.752-05:00I'm ok with binding, that's the last step....I'm ok with binding, that's the last step. I find that since I don't quilt all that well, it's the quilting which keeps my UFO's from getting finished. I did have an 'aha' moment after I washed the last quilt I finished. All the time I stressed on getting the stitching to look good, when the quilt came out of the dryer, it was nice and puffy. It all looked good. What a relief. It is pieced, layered and basted... So
I should have quilted it ages ago. Perhaps it should be a goal for this year?
Keep up the great work :-)
Hugs and stitcheaAnne Idahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03980121747791507415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21964134.post-88597508439574876612017-01-22T13:34:50.279-05:002017-01-22T13:34:50.279-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anne Idahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03980121747791507415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21964134.post-12331280998778865502017-01-22T07:49:18.372-05:002017-01-22T07:49:18.372-05:00Very determined you are! I'd definitely trade binding for quilting - my laundry basket of Thimbleberries tops is overflowing! ;)~Kristiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16039444964696342476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21964134.post-91589148610034582432017-01-22T06:51:38.581-05:002017-01-22T06:51:38.581-05:00I've just downloaded En Provence from Bonnie&#...I've just downloaded En Provence from Bonnie's site. Never done her mystery quilt. I don't have a stash of scraps so I'll be purchased fat quarters to star. You have inspired me to finish up some UFOs. I have two done that need quilting but it's going to wait a week or so while I get use to PSP. I'm picking up my new tablet today at Bits & Pieces.

By the way I love binding if you ever need assistance!
Enjoy your day!
Kathy DeStadioKathyDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11337405542879388685noreply@blogger.com
