We raided my black and white 5-inch squares and picked contrasting fabric from my stash (mine = pea green polka dot, Gretchen's = turquoise). We layered the pieces and quilted them on regular sewing machines. My daughter-in-love QUILTED HER OWN PIECE!
She keeps her pieces with her, but mine are on my design wall:
When we get more sewing time, I'll post photos of both finished handbags.
Head on over to Judy's blog to see what everyone else is doing.

Isn't it lovely to share that time with a Daughter in love or just a daughter?
How totally awesome to get to share your passion with your daughter in love. And how lucky for her to have a pro on hand to teach her the ropes!
woo-hoo to introducing a new quilter to our fun! can't wait to see the finished totes.
Debby it will start with a love of quilting - then raiding your stash - then before you know it - you wake up one morning and she has taken over your longarms (ALL OF THEM!)
