Me: Do you have the car on the lot?

Saleslady: Yes

Me: Before I drive there, can you confirm that it's automatic and has cruise control?

Saleslady: Yes, it's standard.

Me: It has cruise control?

Saleslady: Yes

Me: And it's automatic?

Saleslady: It's standard.

Me: But it's an automatic transmission?

Saleslady: Yes, it's standard.

(insert long, confused pause)

Me: Are you saying that the automatic transmission comes standard on the car?

Saleslady: Yes.

Me: So you weren't saying that it had a standard transmission.

Saleslady: Right. Automatic is standard.
