Hotel Tour of 2014 -- night 88

I had an inspiring day at Handi Quilter today:

They made me feel so welcome!

It's a big family reunion when we all get together.  I love all of the educators and we really enjoy sharing class ideas with each other.  We usually leave here ready to spread the Handi Quilter love for the next year.

Some things are confusing, though.  Things like my fortune from my cookie:

Huh?

One of my very favorite parts of this hotel involves this:

I have stick straight hair, but as it is getting grayer and grayer, it is getting frizzier in the humidity.  I live in New York where it is very humid in the summer and I am having trouble getting used to my "maturing" hair.  Here in Utah, though, there is not enough humidity to even consider.  My hair is stick straight again and easy to manage.  I love this hotel for many reasons, and easily fixing my hair in the morning is one of them.

Your fortune cookie message means, and very appropriate to you, that no matter where you travel there is no place like home and having your feet solidly on the place you know best.

Safe travels dear one and Happy Sewing

I live in Utah, about 20 miles from where you are staying. Frizz is such a problem with my naturally curly hair. No affiliation but I came across this great leave in styling cream last year and it is the best I ever used for a straighter shoulder length hairdo. I use it each wash, 3x a week. After towel drying I section my hair in about seven sections and put a good size drop on the ends like lotion and the use a neat Ionic hair dryer and, of course, a boar's hair brush. I really miss it if I skip the cream. If you are interested it is http://www.amazon.com/John-Frieda-Straight-Fixation-Styling/dp/B00390FH5G/ref=sr_1_4?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1409178809&sr=1-4&keywords=frizz+ease

The down side is that I think it needs the heat of the blow dryer to work. My hair is thicker than ever at age 60 and I can dry it in 20 minutes which is an amazingly short time in my own experience.
