I was recently surprised. My friend was pregnant and I was positive that she was having a girl baby. So positive, in fact, that I made her a girl-baby-type quilt. Imagine our surprise when it was a BOY!
I scrambled and pulled together this quilt for my friend's new baby:
I pulled a bunch of black/white/bright orphan blocks from my basket and simply set and finished the quilt. The middle block is a sample block I made from Pat Sloan's Scrap Happy Little Wishes Challenge. I can't remember where the other blocks are from. Do you recognize any of them?
I learned a lot while quilting it, though, because THIS totally happened.
I played with some more of my new FabuLux thread from WonderFil:
So pretty, right?
I quilted a feathered wreath in the center of each block:
... and this quilt was finished!
Happy birthday, baby boy!
