I pieced all of the blocks and sashings right after the wedding and the quilt sat borderless for about a year. I finished the piecing in time for their first anniversary, but the quilting, binding, and pillowcases added another month to the project.
Besides, I lent a quilt to the happy couple "just until the wedding quilt is done" and they were getting far too attached to my quilt!

Very nice - is that ribbon candy I see in the sashing???? You need to write a book about how you do that! I want to learn how to do that!
Debby the quilt is gorgeous! To John, it takes a computerized system or a TON of practice.
be patient, Grasshopper, the book is coming.
I would say that quilt was worth the wait. It is beautiful!
Oh it is just beautiful......talk about the quilting making the quilt... this is it! I hope the newlyweds will truly love it for years to come. Nice job Mom!
