I am committed to putting my house on a diet. Today, I only got rid of little things:
I donated all of my old eyeglasses to my eye doctor to donate to folks who need them.
There is now one less box in my house to trip over, and hopefully these glasses will help others who can't afford them.

Isn't it funny to look at how the styles of your glasses change over time? I donated a bunch of my old glasses to the Lions eyeglass campaign several years ago....and I really had to laugh at the size of some of the frames (of course they were all the rage when I got them)!
Debby, you are doing exactly what I need to do. Problem is-DH is a fledgling hoarder. "We might use it someday" is his mantra.
Please post all your "diet's" steps. I'll live vicariously through you.
What a great thing to do. And, honestly, I think some of those frames have come back in style!
I just wanted to post what a wonderful thing you did! Spectacles can be so very expensive, yet for most they are a necessity. I regularly visit my optometrist for eye check ups, to ensure that everything is ok. I also almost always have to change my prescription. So if they offered 'used spectacles' like yours, that would be very welcome.
